Okay thanks. Didnt think they we're chrome... still look good tho. My chrome ones get a rusty look everytime it rains and i have to scrub them. PITA

Yea, get some stainless steel tips. More expensive, but well worth it in the long run.

I think zzzzzeke'* are getting rusty because he had them upside down.

the longer part is on the bottom allowing water to get in but not leave.

I'll get some pics of mine next time it'* jacked up a bit.
When I had my cat replaced and a bigger resonator I did notice a slighty lower tone.

how would that make the outside rust?

and the inside that you saw over a year ago hasn't be rusty since then (well....because i painted them...
