Oh yea! Georgeous pics there...lots of nice siggy matterial. Only they're too big for easy viewing...would enjoy them more if they were smaller. ( ...never thought I'd hear myself say that...)

Vinegar and very hot water...mix 1/2 and 1/2...dip a cloth into the mixture and hold onto the adhesive.
I've also used rubbing alcohol to clean off adhesive...I'm assuming that is okay for paint because the vinyl decal instrucstions say to use it on surfaces prior to decaling.
Disclaimer...I have not had any problems with such solutions on my paint, however you may wish to research this more or try it on a less visible area!

I wouldnt really use my engine bay for research... considering its a GTP motor... some minor things are different.. but i have no idea what you are researching.
