Thanks Gumball, I used soap and water. Old rag and medium handle brush and old tooth brush were also employed

The red dress up stuff is just convaluted tubing that you can pick up cheap.
Mine is made by Taylor and I picked up a starter kit for $25 and an extra 1/4" bag for $5.
The rest is spray paint and elbow grease
Get a roll of electrical tape to seal up the ends, in whatever color you want.
