[/quote]Nice to see that you have "no fear" in taking apart the interior, and as long as you have no left over screws, its all good. I never actually seen a 2000 gen apart like that. love the interior color. But Andrew- those tiny square LEDs (not sure the real name) are truly a pain to work with. I had a concept that never worked out.
I really hope that you are not driving it like that :?
You watch, when you put that thing back together...you are gonna have soo many rattles...
Be careful with those small screws...easy to lose...
Good luck with re-assembly...

these 2000+ electronics are built very cheaply. On both the Bonneville and Aurora over time connections become loose for lighting systems more than anything and the lights either go out, or can be brought back on by tapping on them.. very annoying! I just gotta say though that you're lucky that that was all you had to take apart to get the Gauges out.
My gauges went dead and the entire dash top had to come out.

If you do decide to go the blue backlighting route, I think it'd look really cool. I look forward to hearing about your progress.

i would really like to try a blue dash.. especially with the discovery of the LED 194'* i could have used... but the main problem is the buttons in the radio and the HVAC are already red.... so a blue LED behind them would make them purple :?
