Thanks Dave!
Remember it was actually a tie.. we both won and it was fun.. I think that'* what it is all about
My 1997 Oldsmobile Eighty Eight came to me in a time in my life when I had hit rock bottom. I purchased her to drive through the next phases of my life. I was surfing and surfing craigslist to find a decent car that could take me a few years down the road and be comfortable. I had looked at a few cars that appeared pretty nice in the listings, but once I actually seen them in person, were junk
As I was surfing and updated the browser. Belle appeared (the olds) 97 olds 88 1 owner low miles of 41k... I called and got the details and drove 2 1/2 hours down to check her out in Sarasota Florida.
Once I arrived, I was checking over things and drove around the block and made a deal.
I got the keys and would need to return later to pick her up
My friend got off work at 9pm so we sat out on the road trip over to pick her up, had a late night dinner at an Applebee'* and finally made it back over, slipped some plates on and we were off..
I get a call on the phone.. telling me that I'd need to get them mud Flaps off as soon as possible..lol my friend behind me was saying.. we know it'* an Oldsmobile, ya don't need mud flaps advertising it four times.. and it did actually look pretty dated with them on it.
we got back about 330am
The car has needed a little attention .. but nothing was really hard or all that expensive... and had kept me busy with my mind off other things.
I named her Belle.. Since she was purchased New and never left Southern Florida.. I thought of Southern Belle.. or Belle
Thanks for the votes, Look forward to many years with my Belle and this Forum

A few people on the forum have had bad luck with white cars. Personally, I have one and it'* been solid. Whether you believe in the Curse or not, that'* up to you.
Anyway, congratulations to John, and best of luck in Car of the Year.
