Theres an infinate amount of uses for spare spinners...

If your really clever you can modify one and it'd be like a wheel supercharger or Brake coolers!

Yea, jsut shape the spinning part right, add a fan motor... and your set.

The only thing im still trying to figgure out ot how to have the wheels generate their own power. Theres an infinate amount of power availible in a spinning wheel so you dont have to get power from the car to the wheel. Its just a matter of harnessing it with a intertial generator of some sort.

have you seen those light up wheel covers they have at autozone? perhaps take a look at those and see how they work

and of course, we cant forget a centrifugal switch, so you dont burn up the motor trying to turn the thing when the car is moving.

Yea, you would want the motor to dead short (or whatever you can do to lock it up) though, so it locks the outter spinner to the innter wheel spinning with the car. And at low speeds it will spin the fan faster to keep the breaks cool... maybe based on radient heat.

The lighted ones i think have little watch batteries.. and with LED'* that would work... but fan motors maybe not so much. I think we'd have to do it with weighted generator of sorts... but id always be worried about the weight flying out if it breaks or whatnot causing the wheel to be imbalanced.

true, i dont know how you would address the power generation issue. solar power maybe? connected to a relay that would automatically shut motors off after 5 minutes or so
