yeah, you are absolutely right about the better install, there are a few things i can do to improve it but for the most part its been a budget install. before i knew what i wanted, i had the 15" and the box from another car so rather than spend the money on something else i was able to just throw it in. hence its not the proper box size nor position for that car.
the speakers were a deal (i think my buddy owed me some beer ...im not sure i want to tackle a fiberglass speaker enclosure as i feel i couldnt do it nicely. and for the tweeters in the door....its suprisingly bright and crisp almost loud....i have to dial down the highs in my system. i understand i could get better imaging with them in the pillars but im not sure what id do with the holes ive already cut in the door (in hindsight it is what i should have done)

the power wire actually got cut up from when i pulled it out of my old car (it snagged a sharp piece of metal and shaved it a little) it is not secured but it is held relatively tight via it being under the carpet throughout the entire car. thanks for the suggestions though constructive criticism is always welcome.

ps. to GonneVille yeah.....i felt bad but it was only $500 out of my pocket and it was my only accident ever *knocks on wood* new driving rule, no shenanigans unless im driving my girlfriend'* VW i have a sample packet of meguiars "nxt generation" tech wax staring at me perhaps tomorrow ill put the wash and wax to it thanks for the feedback guys!

no sir, the song is Dirt Off Your Shoulder by jay z

*car update*
this forum is a bad influence on me

anyone know what makes the stock airbox so inefficient? is it the fact that it only has that tiny intake hole? does direction of intake have anything to do with it? (i.e. it only comes from the front as oppose to omni directional like the k & n) if so, then how does this compare to a cai that is closed off from all but the front?

p.*. noticeable improvement, this is an excellent mod,
im probably gonna get my car tuned by a friend whos skilled with those ecu parameter editor devices thats made to tune grand prix can anyone foresee a problem with this?
