Ah heck, one could mod a skateboard and make it move faster.

The K-car, I have owned (not pwn3d) two of them and I assure you, they are the SLOWEST thing on the road.

That is the thing about all the mods, once a car is modified, it is not truely the same car anyways.
I guarantee that Aries did not have the same 2.2 that came in those things.

My mother had an '87 Chrysler Newyorker with the TURBO, wasn't much bigger than that Kcar. That thing would fly, she took many a Mustang by surprise.

Looking back to those times, that was pretty sad for Chrysler. That car was there top of the line :(

My buddy'* family had two Fifth Avenues, an '86 and an '87. With the 318 V8 (2bbl right?), they were slow as heck

I had a friend with one of those, and yeah, it did not perform anywhere NEAR what i would figure.
Especially given a 318 is a 5.2 litre, bigger than the mustang engine.

Actually, it'* a Plymouth Reliant, it is the original motor, it'* a 2.5 turbo, it'* called "Relentless", it belongs to a guy named Gary Donovan, and that video was made about five years ago.

Much as I hate to break it to y'all the TurboDodge guys have got us nailed in almost every speed category there is. In fact, there'* quite a few in the low 9'*. Not only is it the strongest 4-cyl block ever produced, it'* the only 4-cyl in Hot Rods top ten motor list.
As for it being slow when stock, how 14.7 in the Omni GLH-*?

I not sure what class of Drag Racing they run in, but I've read of a few guys running S10s with the 2.2 and cranking 500 to 600 HP before throwing a rod.

Yes, but a car running 9'* is making more than 500-600hp. The Turbo dodge'* in the 9'* are probably closer to 7-800hp and the blocks just take it. Although I will agree that the 2.2 is a very tough engine.
