Default Project Luxury S10 (LOTS of pictures and video)

Hey guys, I'm making this thread to introduce my other ride...my 1996 Chevrolet S10 LS.

The basics on it: It has the 4.3 Vortec V6, extended cab, 3.42 gears with an automatic transmission, towing package (basically means stiffer springs and of course the tow hitch), two tone paint, and basically that'* it...it'* a pretty standard LS.

When I got it in 2007, it had only 38,000 miles. I inherited it from my grandfather, who didn't drive it very much. I have about 68,000 miles on it currently. I love driving it, but it loves the gas just as much, lol!

Here'* what it looked like originally on the inside:

Pretty basic S10. They're nice trucks, but very plain inside!

Before I get into the pictures, here'* what all I've done to it:

K&N full air intake system, cat removed, Flowmaster 40 dual exhaust, removed restrictor plate on throttle body blade, heavy duty transmission cooler, DEI alarm system, 35% F 20% R window tint, full power leather bucket seating out of a Chevrolet Blazer, custom center console with AC inverter, two electrical outlets, and custom LED entrance lighting (lights up when doors open), custom wood trim dash kit, upgraded speakers all around and an 8" amplified subwoofer, autometer tachometer with pillar pod, custom "glow" gauges, overhead mounted CB radio with front fender antenna and PA speaker, E Code headlights with H4 High/Low beam HIDs, custom leather wrapped steering wheel, spray on bedliner, aluminum "diamond plate" tool box, custom badging inside and out, Scangauge II, changed out the door chime for one from a Lumina...I think that'* it.

Here'* what it looks like inside now:

Size: 41.5 KB

Please excuse the shoddy cell phone pics, I ran over my good camera!

Center console, AC inverter switched on (blue external switch, the inverter is secured inside the console). You can also see the two AC outlets and the LED entrance lighting.

Favorite pics. Lots of things have changed since then though. I no longer have the weird little foglight things, plastic toolbox has been replaced, window tint added, and some custom badging also.

Okay, I think that'* it for the pictures. I am a bit of a pic *****, lol.

Here'* a current video for it showing acceleration and exhaust sound:

The driveby video (second clip) was before the K&N air intake, so it sounds different on approach now.

Okay I'm done...lol. Thanks for viewing!

Nice! Really nice. I like what you done with your truck. Gotta love those 4.3 Chevy engines, but they can be a PITA! On the Blazers, the #3 sparkplug is a cow to remove. How is yours?

Thanks! And it'* just as bad, I'm sure. Working around that steering shaft makes life tough. Just having to take the wheels off to get to the spark plug is bad enough! That'* why I ended up just putting AC Delco platinums in there and forgetting about it.

Thanks a bunch guys! It'* been a great truck to me. This one is pretty much my daily driver now. The gas mileage is definitely not anything to get excited about but the rumble makes it all worthwhile!
