Default flubber noise for the altima

hey guys. i told nancy i post it on here, cuz shes worried about it.

recently took nancys car for a tire rotation/balance, coolant flush, and tranny flush at the local midas (yipee for midas). as soon as we got it back, we noticed (rather, i noticed and pointed it out to her) a distinct flubber-noise coming from the front. rhythmic, that seems largely independent of engine RPMs and increases in volume as the car goes faster. car has 41k miles on it, is an 04 Altima 2.5 *, never had any sort of problems with it before. oil is changed regularly by me, and it will need new brakes soon (which ill be doing later this summer).

so whats the diagnosis? is it fatal? not enough information?

i told her what i thought, but im far from an expert so thats why im posting.

Just got new (crappy, but new) rear tires on the Civic yesterday, completely cured a low-speed "flubber" which turned to a complete howl at highway speeds:

- I was pretty much on the wear bars
- Driver'* side rear tire was actually out-of-round :o

Give that a look.

Can you feel any vibration etc. in the car or the steering wheel each time the flubber sound happens?Sounds like a tire issue but yeah why all of a sudden?

its a constant sound. as soon as you start driving, it starts. and doesnt stop until the car stops. (there is no flubber noise when the engine is going but the car is stopped)
