Default CTS with Volant

I just realized that I have never included a video of my CTS since I got the volant intake installed. It'* basically a cold air intake that'* supposed to net around 8-12 HP. The stock intake was horribly designed. Here'* a WOT video and some pics.
*especially watch what the RPM'* do after 3,000 when the TC is on. The RPM'* fly after 3k but are pretty slow building before it.

It'* a little slower than when I first bought it because I only run 87 in the winter, and usually 91 during the summer months. (plus lets face it, winter blend gasoline sucks!)

Wow. That sounds REALLY good. I've heard lots of good things about the Volant intake systems.

Thanks. This is really the only other video I have of it taken I think two weeks after I bought it. When i've tested 0-60 on the CTS, it was right around 6.6 seconds. There is a performance shop in Wisconsin by the name of "big 3" that does performance tuning for the CTS. They're the only shop that does it. They have gotten an extra 20 HP/ 18 FT LBs of torque out of the CTS with their tune! I want to do that this summer. They charge only around $150 to do it too.

0 to 60 in 6.6 wow!! thats faster than factory specs state. Factory specs for my 745i state 0 to 60 of 5.9 but I doubt I could do it under 7 seconds. btw your runs seem to start at 10 mph not 0? From what I saw that car really pulls.

Cool. I was playing the video and my wife heard it from the hallway and thought I had some racing video game going!

What do the factory specs say for it? I don't even know myself. hah. my second video I started at 0. The first one I was actually probably going 3-4 MPH. I do that to save a *little* wear on the drive train. I've heard that you actually get better times from a dead stop though instead of a roll.
