Default GXP wheels on a 98SSEi

Thought some of you might enjoy this pic. I put GXP wheels and tires on my 98 SSEi. They made the ride on the highway seem a bit harsh but, they really improved the handling. They rub a little on the font wheel wells when you turn the wheel all the way to the right or the left. I found myself driving much faster with these tires installed. It seemed like I was always driving 10 or 15 mph faster than I thought I was. Finally one day the State Trooper caught me on radar going 76 in a 55. I just drove right past him , didn't even realize I was speeding till he hit the lights and turned around. $195.00 ouch!!! sold the tires to someone else. I was destined to get another ticket. Those tires were just way too fast, or was it my lack of self control? Either way its for the best.

tires are the most important part on your car, they determine how it performs, handles, how noisy it is etc.. and most just buy what ever is cheap. you know what they were?

Thanks for posting your experience with switching out tires to a different rim size. Sorry you had a speeding ticket. As Justin mention, replacing tires is a major event, that can help or hurt your car'* safety and performance.
