Default ABS SCANNER AND SRS ....which one

Hello, Looking to find a scanner, that is not that expensive, to scan ABS and SRS on a Grand Prix 2002.
There are many out there, but when I ask, they state they don't.

So I am guessing this is a limited thing.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what scanner will do this? that is not as expensive.

I have an INNOVA 3100 scanner, but that'* just for engine codes only.

Thank you
Jo

The Pontiac section is only for Pontiac related technical questions.

Thank you, sorry about that.

Do you know of any scan tool that does that?

Hello Joanne, when it comes to good OBDII scanners that can read live data, SRS/ABS etc, you also want to look for one that can receive updates from the internet.
You also want to be able to read & then erase the ABS codes as well.
Good scanners run from $500 to $1000 dollars all the way up to many thousands of Dollars in pro rated equipment like a TechII or Snap On for instance.
You really have to spend some google search time and do your homework before purchasing any of them, and look for reviews.
I have access to a friends shop that has pro equipment and sometimes if you know someone in, or who works at a shop, it may be easier just to give them a few$ to have the vehicle scanned, than buying a good scanner yourself.
Here is one that lists at $571 for instance, that is more advanced for the right price.

In the above link, if you click on Comparison Chart, you can see the differences between models.
I am sure others may chime in to assist you as well.
I hope this information is somewhat useful.

For about $200, you can get something for your laptop. Get ScanXL Pro with GM Enhanced package.

Hello, I looked into that and it only scans ABS after 2004 or 2007 only. So that'* a bust.

Thanks for the input. I will find one, it might take a while, but someone has to have one they use.
