Default Rear Window/Door-Belt Molding Weatherstrip

Anybody ever went to a scrap yard and found, removed, and installed one of these?

My rear right side door had this strip start cracking, and the metal underneath is starting to get rust on it...
I plan to try to slow the rust as much as possible, and get a new weatherstrip...
Ill post a pic of the area ASAP..You can see in this pic it is number 2, at 103$ aye yai yai...

They're usually rotted at the junkyard, but if you can find a good one then go for it.

Good Luck William. I hope you can get a new one installed and address the rust issue.
My ole Pk Ave rear door seal at hwy speed sounds like a wind whistle now. Good thing for a loud stereo!

I guess I'll wait and replace it after I get all the more important stuff done first like the LIM job, and getting it back on the road, tags, ins, etc...
All it is now is a mild eye sore....
The rust I hope is on part of the trim piece for the exterior, if so I hope the trim is easy to replace I may have to look it up in my FSM...
I'll have to replace it eventually, or it will look even worse when I get the weathertech channel side wind deflectors.

Have you used Fluid Film spray before? It seems to help contain rust and makes it clean up easier as well.
