Default 1992 Cutlass Supreme electrical issues

Hey all, I made an account specifically for this issue lol. But what'* going on is if my car sits too long at an idle it'll shut off clean, no shake or tremor, just shut off. I've watched the volts get right under 13 on my gauge when this happens. I know the battery is fine. It starts right back up with no issue. Now I did find a sensor clip wrapped up with my negative wire that'* not plugged into anything. Might that be the issue? And if so what does it connect to? I couldn't find anything it would attach too. I'm hoping my alternator is ok. And idk if it matters but there is a breathalyzer installed on the vehicle too. It seems like it'* just not gauging how much voltage to send out of the alternator at times.

This could be because whatever is causing the stall has already started. Could be.

Still might be, but yeah not as likely as other things. I'd still check voltage on it after it has sat overnight . . . and let us know what it is.

This is good, but still not a clear test of the battery.

Unknown, we'd need a picture or few to help with that. I suspect it is unrelated if the car otherwise runs fine.

Start the car, turn on all the lights and full blower and air conditioning. Stick a volt meter on the battery. Watch the voltage for five minutes or so. It should happily stay at 13+ the whole time, even when the air conditioning compressor engages.

Not sure where they add this to the system, but I bet it is inline with the ignition circuit from the ignition switch. This could be suspect. Assuming you aren't allowed to tamper with it, I wonder how long it will be before it is removed.

When was it installed? How long after this did the problem start?
