Chevy Venture brake lines
The Chevy Venture van I just bought had been driven on the beach without being washed off. Some of the brake lines need replacement due to corrosion. Does anyone know of a source for these at a reasonable price? Thanks
You likely will have to replace them with custom made replacements. One option you may want to keep in mind is to replace with copper-nickel made lines instead of steel lines. Advance Auto sells the copper-nickel lines, note the copper nickel lines are very easy to bend when compared to the steel pipe.
what i do is take the fittings off so you have something to match up at the parts store, and you can get he metric bubble flare tool, pipe cutter, handful of fittings, and couple coils of line for about a hundred bucks. then i just paint it
Steel is very easy to bend.......do it in sections.....join with unions....the sections that have multiple bends are easy to copy, bending over a 1.5 inch pipe in a vice, using the old line as a template....
