Hey Fellow GXP'ers. I have had a few wierd things happen within the last couple months and was hoping that someone else has experianced this too so I can have something to go on. On numerous occasions when it'* been really cold, my Service Stability System will come on which apparently also disables the anti-lock brakes. It'* happened a few times and after the car sits in the garage for the night, the problem seems to go away since hte lights don't stay on. I've had this happen on my SSEi and it was a sensor on the rack. It'* strange that it only happens when it'* really cold out. Anyone experaince this?? The lights are all off now and have been since it'* been a little warmer (above freezing). Any thoughts are appreciated.

i did just before i parted out my car. mine turned out to be moisture in one of the wheel speed sensor plugs. unplugged it took a hair dryer to it and plugged back in worked fine after that

We have had some WSS issues here as Gunner mentioned. Smearing a little dielectric grease or even vasoline on each end before plugging them back together will help keep further water out. The plug is just in a bad place for moisture.

mine did the same thing about 5 times since i got it, i scanned it and it said "excessive wheel vibration" or wheel spinning i cant remember.

3 times winter, 2 times in summer.. last time was well over 8 montsh ago since i last saw it

Thanks for all the replies. I did replace the wheel hubs and didn't apply any dilectric grease. Since the connections are always exposed to water, snow etc, I'll get some grease, dry them out and apply it this week. Hopefully this will eliminate the problem for good. Thanks again for the tips!

I took the advise of many on this thread and it fixed my problem. The Service Stability System light came on again one day as it was snowing. I was on line with OnStar and had the advisor run a diagnostic on the car while I was driving home. The code that was coming up was C1225, left side wheel sensor. I went to the local O'Rileys and bought some dilectric grease and applied it to both hub connectors. I replaced them but didn't have the grease when I reinstalled them. Forgot all about it until the SSS light came on. The dilectric grease worked great and no more light!! Thanks guys for all the help and advice.

This happens to mine every time it rains or when I wash the car. Sounds like a moisture problem for sure. Is there a way to have an OBD code tell you which wheen is the offending one?

i think if you scan while its on it might tell you which side triggered it, but not sure if you can use just a normal OBDII scanner

I dont have an actuall acanner, I use the Torque app on my phone with a bluetooth OBD2 adaptor. It reads codes but it isnt as good as one of the good shop scanners obviously. If the plugs are fairly easy to get too, I can just put some grease on each one as a preventative measure.
