air bag light is on and HUD says check guages, any one have any idea what is up

i'd take a quick look at the fuse panel

Mine came on and I took it to GM to have the code read with a Tech 2, normal code readers can't read AB codes.The code was for the front impact zone, I took a chance and replaced the front impact sensor and that solved the problem. That sensor alone was a $100.00 from GM Direct.
On a side note, as long as the AB light is on, the Airbag system is disabled.
