Exclamation 01 bonneville studers on acceleration

i have a friend that owns a 01-02 bonneville ssei
he began to have trouble with his mass air flow sensor,
where his car would shut off on him.
he replaced his mass air flow sensor and the car doesnt shut off no more
but the current problem is that the car has a studer when it accelerates.
it never shuts off but it feels like it will.
Can someone help me with this problem.

by error codes you mean did he have it computer checked?
he had it checked by the computer to find out that he had a mass air flow sensor failure and one of his
coils were bad but were also replaced with th sensor.
the studer problem started occuring after the air flow sensor was replaced
im going to have him go get the test re-done to find out if there are any new errors
thanks for the help

Ya, have him check that out. Also, pull the plugs and inspect them. Do all 6 look the same? Or is one or two different. make a note of which cylinder each plug came from, and a picture if possible. Check to make sure none of the back spark lug wires are touching the O2 sensor wire. This can cause problems.

Also check your battery cables. When mine were corroded the car would studder like that. Once I cleaned em up, the studder went away.

Hope this helps!

Opps, did I forget battery cables? My bad. That'* what I get for carrying on 15 different conversations on 5 different forums. Good catch. Someone needs to keep me in line.
