Nothing that I know of. I hear their reliability is VERY similar to the Accords.

My cousin'* '06 V6 has 50,000 miles on it, and she hasn't done anything to it except oil changes, and the required service intervals.

It'* a typical late-model Hyundai. This means that it will be well-equipped, reliable, and do it all for a price better than Honda or Toyota. That 3.3 V6 is a very potent engine. Owners on the Hyundai boards I'm on really enjoy the power but not the mileage. And the 2.4 Four is Hyundai'* version of the World Engine developed in conjunction with Chrysler and Mitsubishi. Last I heard Hyundai'* version knocks the snot out of Chrysler'* version in build quality and fuel economy, and is itself quite a competent engine, capable of motivating a Sonata quite well.

The car itself is great. The warranty is fantastic. Most Hyundai dealers are pretty ****-poor, though. Warranty service can be a hassle, even when the problem'* obvious and obviously covered. The techs are pretty good, though, once you get through the service impeders, er, writers/managers. Fortunately you won't have to deal with these idiots that often.

I don't know anything about the new sonata'* but my co-worker had his 05 replaced by the dealer twice. the third time was into a SantaFe. They kept experiencing a noxious oder that landed his wife in the hopital twice and him once that I recall.

The new Sonatas do look nice thou.
