Default Problems with GF'* sonata

Got a call today while my girlfriend was on her way home from school, and its acting funny again (a hyundia running bad? )

1. It seems like when you press on her brakes there is no resistance and it does not brake as easily as it used to.

2. When idling her rpm'* are higher than usual.

3. When driving car hesitates to shift and then jerks into the next gear (maybe a sensor?)

If anyone has ideas they would be appreciated

Did all these problems pop up at the same time?

Same body, engine and trans, toasty. Optima got exterior changes.

MN, does it have the 2.5 V6, or the 4 cyl?

Ok, check the brake booster hose. It may have cracks in it, my dad'* Optima had a small crack in his and it caused some oddball problems like high idle and sometimes surging idle. Did she recently have a tuneup on it? If so, when they removed the upper plenum, it'* possible that they reused the old plenum gasket.
