Default 2000 Hyundai Sonata - no gas cap pressure

Co-worker has a 2000 Hyundai Sonata and there is no pressure when removing the gas cap. There is no pshhhh sound. Can anyone say if this is normal? I would think there would be some pressure behind it..

(I said I would ask because you all are so nice about helping and know so much about all cars.. )

Thanks

I have never heard any release of pressure from any car :?

I would say that it is normal to not hear a pressure releasing sound, but I may be wrong. :?

if it runs and there is no ses light I wouldnt worry to much about it.. Likely means that the vent is working properly

I'd worry more if there WAS a big noise. That vent is there for a reason.
