I have a 93 ssei
Well here in wisconsin we got like 18" of snow on wednesday
Well i got stuck and i think i broke my trans, but im not sure.
The car goes into park, but it does not go into reverse.
It will shift into drive fine with no slipping of the tranny and no lag from park to drive.
But when i put it into reverse its as if im still in park

When i start the car i hear a clicking noise, but when i put it into reverse
the noise goes away. When i put the car in drive it does not start clicking till i accelerate.

Not sure if my tranny if f***, or if my selonoid went bad.

Any ideas?

When you say you put it in reverse and it is like it stays in park, do you mean it wont engage reverse (but acts like it is in neutral, like the park pawl is disengaged) or it does not go into reverse AND the park pawl is STILL engaged?

You didn't happen to over-rev and freespin your trans did you? Sounds like you may have messed up your diff.

Troyport - It disengages from park but does not engage into reverse.
Sandrock - Yes, it is possible i over reved it beacuse i did get stuck twice in the snow.
