Common Transmission Problem?
Is it common among Bonnevilles to have faulty TCC solenoids? I had my transmission rebuilt a year ago, and now the SES light code is saying I need the solenoid. Should it have been replaced when the trans. was rebuilt? Because I am taking it back to the same people, and I was wondering if they should have replaced it and didn't? Its going to cost me a lot, and I want to have all my facts straight. :(
I got the same problem , mine wont go into 4th!
Screw that , I'll beat my tranny till it'* worth it. Turns out if you act really ignorant to the repair guy , he'll do a better job than ever. If he tells you the part is extra , tell him a rebuild is a rebuild and act like a bully , he should've told you about it anyway !

Not a bad idea, except the guy is a friend of my dads, and gives me a decent deal for the work. I trust them, and they seem to be very thorough. Mine won't go into 4th either, or more like it goes in at first and then comes out. I wouldn't be worried, except that I drive it a lot on the highway, and my gas mileage is not so good right now. It is actually being repaired Monday. My estimate was $300.00-400.00. But I was told as usual I would get "A deal" of sorts. Guess we will see. Your computer didn't go bad by any chance when you first noticed this problem did it?
