Default New A/C Only Forum

With all the questions regarding A/C, a separate forum for just A/C should be started.

Thanks

While that is a great suggestion, A/C typically is a spring/summer only type of thing. How would you suggest organizing the various years and types of compressors and freons?

A/C these days are really not just spring and summer. Many cars have a 'climate control' type system. Even if they do not an A/C compressor is a must for Defog/Defrost applications. No classification would be necessary as R-12 & R-134A work much in the same basic function for A/C, tho there is a difference in pressures between the two. I believe a generic A/C forum would work fine.

Perhaps instead of an "AC" topic it could be "Climate Controll" this way it would deal with as you said all features of climate controll. I don't see why it would need to be seperated by year, as long as the poster of each thread ad that information the threadso everyone knew what they were dealing with.

But then why can't anyone with problems for their climate controll just post in the Meachanical and Maintenance Topic that applies to their car, such as "2000-2005", "1992-1999"?

A cap has to be put on the number of forums we have. If we do an A/C only type forum, where does it end?

Mechanical and Maintenance will do for now.

I do appreciate the suggestion though.

^^^ I agree. Bloated forum topics makes for more confusion (and angrier modders who have to move them. :P )
