Has anyone ever turned their bonne into a manual tranny? I think it would be awesome...a supercharged bonnie in a 5 speed or even six speed. What tranny would we use? just the thought of dumping the clutch as your getting 8 psi is amazing.

Some have done it with Getrag transmissions in Fieros & probably Grand Prixs. But it would require a lot of custom fabrication. You wouldn't be able to build boost like that unless you were in gear anyway; Just be a fast track to a new clutch.

I've seen people put 5 speeds out of Mustangs into Crown Vics, I'm sure it can be done...

secondly the 5-speed has been done behind the 3800 a number of times. 5 speed getrags and 4 speed izuzus.

another option, which i do not remember the end result of, was a stand along manual tranmsisision controller for the 4t60/65e. information was on the same site.
