Default Turn signal acting strange on my 95 Bonneville

I noticed lately when I would use the right signal it would flash a little slower than the left would. Well today on my way home all the sudden the dash display (bulb indicator) was showing I had a rear signal out. A few turns later it cleared. Then a few more it came back but now it showed both front and rear had a turn signal out. Then that cleared after a few more turns. then it came back showing I had a front signal out. It did this the hole way home. When I got home I checked the front and rear but I couldn't find a bulb out anywhere even though the dash was showing it had one out in both ends of the vehicle.

I played with the signal arm a little (in the driveway). What I found was it only showed a bulb issue with the right signal, I couldn't get it to display a bulb out with the left signal. Funny thing is, it goes from showing only a issue in the rear then to having a front and rear bulbs out to the front only having one out. It doesn't show any problem with the flashers being used or again the left signal. One other thing I did notice too was the speed is now flashing at the same rate with the left and right.

Any idea? Bad ground?

Not sure if this applies, but the switches on the turn signal (cruise, wipers) can stop working because wires break 'cause of either the tilt wheel or X uses of the turn signals/bright switch. That seems the problem with my wipers on my car (not hijacking).

Anyway, check fuses, and when it'* doing that try wiggling the turn signal a bit.

Nothing has stopped working yet and I did wiggle the arm while I was playing with it but it didn't seem to help. The only way it seems to clear the dash display is to just continue exercising them on and off a few times.

Oh. Occasionally my mom'* '00 monte carlo will show signals not working, and she tells me to change a fuse, when all I do is go out and use the turn signal and walk back inside .

Certainly something to think about.... column wiring or multifunction switch..they are possible..

I would probably start off with the grounds. Ground buss' to be exact. Ruling out one thing after another until all that is left is the column or the switch since they are the most costly and toughest to replace.

I checked them the other night when I first noticed the problem. Both of them appear to be look clean. Are there any others?
