Default stalling when foot off the gas

Now this problem recently started up and its been bugging me not only for being an incovenence but also a safty issue. My bonne will stall when I slow down and take my foot of the gas. I just rebuilt the engine and had the tranny completly rebuilt and she ran fine for about the first 300 miles and made a couple trips to queens with no issues (roughly 50 miles away) anyone have any ideas of what could be the problem?

I have a 1993 SE

Are you getting any SES lights?
How is the oil pressure...Can you verify it with a mechanical gauge?
What kind of condition are the ignition components in (Coils, Plugs, Wires, etc.)
Any rattling coming from the exhaust/ cat converter area?
Any leaks in the exhaust manifolds?

When at zero throttle, the butterfly in the throttle body is fully closed. The IAC valve regulates the amount of air needed to idle. If the IAC is sticky or otherwise faulty, it can cause this.

Just as easily, if you have a vacuum leak, the engine is drawing more air than it thinks the IAC is giving it.

Just another thing to check for.
