Default Where'* the ground for dashboard lights?

Alternator output checks out OK, but my dash lights are getting dimmer and dimmer in my '99.

Thought I'd check the ground first.

W/O manual here, firing from the hip. There is a ground somewhere by the e brake..posssibly one of the bolts for it. There is also the standard ground buss under the carpet.

Hoping someone has the manual for you.
