finally no volt drop to 1/4 at stops & idle *dances*

hell everything is better with this thing, no dimming, even the sound system sounds better, much more bass (factory performance sound system of course with a 2000 g-am headunit)

*tim taylor grunt* MORE POWER!

Did the fan look different? Thin piece of sheetmetal backing with a black plastic fan with blades pointing back towards the face of the alt? If so, it'* a 140. My 95 came with one, and the 160 I have on the 93 was built from one.

It'* interesting to note that there is an RPM cutoff speed for the alternator field in the PCM.

In my case with an XP cam and stock idle speed I would sometimes drop down through the alternator cutoff speed of 700 RPM when the engine was hot, kinda dims the lights a bit

Cheers,
