Either your oil pump quit working, or your sending unit failed. Preferably the latter. Remove the oil filler cap, and have someone start the car. Do you see oil circulating over the valvetrain? Can you check for codes?

If a good amount of oil is circulating, it'* most likely the sending unit. Located on the rear of the engine facing the firewall, about in line with your front passenger'* left foot.

Make sure you have oil in it too. Not trying to talk you down or anything, but the drain plug could've came loose or the oil filter not been on tight and oil possibly leaked out. Just a thought.

It seems to me that if an oil pump is going it does it gradually not just suddenly, unless the drive rod on it broke away, ive seen that on a Pontiac 400......
Try the sending unit, if still no pressure, its time to operate on it!
