Default Interesting drive home...

Finished work today and on my way home I figured I'd really find out what the Bonny can do. So I pinned it and held it...it climbed to 190kph (118mph) and then BANG! The sunroof popped open It broke the rail? on the drivers side and was almost pointing strait up. I can't believe it hung on. I didn't know that Bonnevilles came with their own form of parachute braking I was able to put 2 bolts though the frame of the glass into the frame in the roof so it SHOULD be o.k. I tried pushing up on it and it wouldn't budge. But I was wondering what would be the easiest way to elimiate the moonroof altogether? It stopped working last year and has never sat right so it creates a lot of annoying wind noise. Not to mention it isn't very areodynamic at 180+kph So I'd just assume ditch it if I can...any thoughts? Thanks...Andru.

wow shitty luck for you huh? lol
about eliminating the sunroof....are you talking about taking it off like it had never been there to begin with? if so then it would be alot of work, kinda. youd have to weld a section of sheet metal the size of the window and lots of other prep work not including painting it...which would be kinda costly. not worth it in my opinion.

Default Deleting the moonroof?

Yeah tell me about it :( Welding in a peice of sheet metal was one option, but also not one I want to undertake either. I'm sure the roof would buckle during the welding. I'm just looking for anything that is fixed and won't cause any wind noise, or leaks. Would it be possible to put a peice of lexan or something there and just use the same glass sealant the front window uses?
