im thinking of giving my ssei a little more ooomph. after the stat and extra tranny cooler...........if i get the custom intake from angry duck, k+n filter, new pully for sc ,new catback exhaust, and a chip (if i can get one for a 96), what kind of $$$ and hp increase would i be looking at ?? also how difficult is it port and polish the throttle body and exhaust manifolds ? i have worked on cars a lot but never ported and polished anything . i already have the basics done. stat. plugs , wires, new tranny filter and fluid, tranny cooler goin in soon, o2 sensor in. ready to move on. i want to kill a gtp punk this summer !! !

I don't race my bonne, I leave it to all u crazy white boyz for that! far as paint goes, na you got a regualr stock color, it'* the purple in ur car that makes it look pearl, (look at ur car up close in the sun, you'll see purple tint) most bonnevilles after 95 have more than one color, like silver blu (platinum) well, I could explain more but who cares anyway?

I don't know much about the series 1 SSEI'*, but those mods would be good for prob 40-50hpon a 97 up, and maybe a second off of your 1/4 mile times. With those mods you may have a chance with a GTP although with pulley, airbox, exhaust, and DHP PCM, they are in 13'*. I actually raced a 94 SSEI and won by quite a bit in my 97 GT, it has all the mods and runs high 14'*. What does a series 1 SSEI run Bone-Stock?

If you have a L36,with no forced induction or nitrous there is no way I could believe you run 13.99 in the 1/4 mile, if so you would have beaten the fastest Grand prix GT in the country which runs 14.2X, my 1998 SSEI with smaller pulley and intake and exhaust mods only runs lower 14'* it takes quite a but to run 13.00 in a GTP, and is not possible in a N/A Bonneville.

That'* cuz the Grand Prix guys think they are the fastest L36'*. Not always true, they should look around more. Usually the fastest guys don't say anything. The only ones who brag and the ones who THINK they are the fastest but dont actually check around. I know complinitor mods and I would back him up.
