What is the speaker setup in the car? 4 speaker (2 in the dash, 2 in the back)? 6 speaker (2 in each front door, 2 in the back)? Is the 'Concert sound' label floating around anywhere (and in turn speakers everywhere)?

Did this car come with steering wheel controls?

The orange wire in the after market harness is for instrument panel illumination, which doesn't apply in some installations.

Are you able to check the new head unit to confirm it actually is putting sound to the speaker outputs, and isn't Dead On Arrival?

It doesn’t have the “Concert Sound” labels. There are four plugs that go into the factory radio but when I use the new harness only three of the plugs go into it leaving one plug out that has one green wire. I hooked up all the wires from the new stereo harness to the adapter by looking at the diagram that came with the stereo and matching the wires from that with the labeled wires on the harness adapter, the orange illumination wire I don’t have hooked up. There are no steering wheel controls in my vehicle.

There was a possibility of up to 5 connectors to a stereo in your car. I have indicated the 3 required with red for an aftermarket unit. The 2 indicated with yellow would be unused.
Hope this helps.
