Default 94 bonneville no idle after warm up

Hi 94 bonneville runs smooth until car warms up then will not idle, dies at every stop light. Checked mass air flow, egr, injectors battery. Don't think it'* a loose contact as it only does this after car has warmed up to normal operating temp but runs great before that. Also started it this morning and let it idle for a while, rpms went up and it was idleing at 2000, turned it off and then back on and it idled at 900. Any advice would be greately appreciated. Thanks

Welcome to the forum Ali !
Often The IAC (intake air control) gets sticky due to built up carbon.
I would remove the IAC and try cleaning the spring pintle end and port with throttle body spray first, and see if that fixes it. Do u have any MIL (engine light) on?

Here is a link Ali that may be helpful in cleaning tips etc..keep the pintle end down while cleaning it..
https://www.gmforum.com/normal-maint...800-v6-307092/

There is a way to read the OBD1 codes with a paper clip..if it comes back on try this..

hope this helps..

You could also try when it'* hot and stalls to turn off car and remove the electrical connection to the MAF sensor & see if it runs right after connection removed, if so u need a new MAF...but still definitely clean the IAC..

Cleaned IAC also all around and inside the throttle body but still no change. Disconnected the MAF sensor and car won't start so plugged it back in. Any suggestions?

try testing tps. without a obd1.5 scantool you are just stabbing in the dark, there are a million things that could be wrong. if you intend on keeping the car you might think of investing in one.

Yes thanks you were right! Just bauchi scan tool and it shows TPS error. On closer visual inspection I can see the little tab on sensor doesn't rotate back like it should looks like internal spring is broken. I'm thinking of rigging a spring on the outside that would bring the tab back with the throttle. Thanks again.
