2000 bonneville trunk leak
i have a 2000 bonneville and every time i open the trunk water starts pouring out of the top of the trunk. what is the cause of this? iv been looking at alot of forums trying to find an answer and the closest thing iv found is a third brake light leak. is that the problem?

here are things to check in your trunk. (i've had most of these)
4 bolts under trunk latch that hold the rear bumper on. silicone them
trunk seal gasket black rubber thing around perimeter of trunk opening, coat with vasoline close trunk open trunk look for areas where the vasoline is not on the deck lid. replace gasket if needed.
tail light bolts. make sure they are tigh and apply silicone to them
spoiler tighten bolts apply silicone
rear sunroof drains. remove carpet from sides of trunk and examine tubes make sure they are connected and exiting the rear of the vehicle
hope this helps
