Hmm... I was thinking of taking the supercharger badge off to make it more of a sleeper. If it turns out this is some rare package I'll leave it.

Wikipedia doesn't list my engine as being in the SE, but kbb did have it as an SE option when I checked the price there.

Maybe the SSE similarity is the 40th anniversary package.
It'* a really nice interior. The stereo even has a graphic equalizer.

your interior looks like my sse (except the phone) usually what you see is se'* with cloth interior and minimal options, bench seat etc. then the sse'* have most everything the ssei'* have except the super charger. so it just doesnt make any sense why it would be ordered that way. that may make it rare. there is a vin decoder site that gives you rareity percentages but i dont remember which right now

Based on VIN, according to http://www.compnine.com:

Rarity...

There are 1 1997 BONNEVILLE SE 4 DR vehicles (0.002%) matching your exact options list. There are 2 (0.003%) with at least as many options.
I don't know how accurate the information is, but it'd be cool to have one of a kind. They say that 354 Bonneville SEs were equipped with the L67 in 1997.

Does anyone know what these things are? It says only 225 cars had it:
8RU COMPONENT RR LH-COMPUTER SEL SUSP (8RU) SUSP(8RU)
9RU COMPONENT RR RH-COMPUTER SEL SUSP (9RU) SUSP(9RU)

What did the 40th Anniversary Edition come with? Floor mats? Other than the badge, is it different from any other Bonneville?

compnine'* "rarity" algorithm is incredibly flawed. your discovery of 354 SE'* is a much better indicator.

there was a computer controlled electronic adjustable suspension available, thats not something you see either and again if you did see it you would expect it to be on a ssei
