Thank you so much but I still have the problem with the switched wire. Where do I hook it to.....on the radio? See what I mean?

get fuse taps from the parts store for mini fuses, they should know what you are talking about and hook it up to the PWR QTR VNT fuse. there is also pwr wdo but that says circuit breaker so it may be a bigger silver square and if the parts store only has the bigger fuse taps it may work there

I meant on the radio side. You mentioned a class 2 buss. Is that the second clip on the back of the radio with 2 wires coming thru it?

it says purple wire connector c2 what ever that means.

Has the rain stopped yet?

I have the same problem. I.e. Everything about radio works except display is dead.
