I need a transmission expert PLEASE
I am taking a transmission out of our 1999 montana and putting it into our 2004. everything looks identical except for the range selector switch. I am putting up pics of the two for someone to tell me if i can just swap them to the new transmission.

Just because it looks identical does not mean it is.
The hard parts may be the same, but the internal solenoids can be different between the years. I suggest you find out from a better source if it is compatible. I'm already seeing a slight part number difference in just 1 solenoid between the 2 different years.

I don't think it will interchange. I would do more research before pulling out the tranny
