Default DASHBOARD HELP

I have a 97 Pontiac Bonneville SE, my front vents don’t blow cool air but the floor and the defrost does. But I’m currently taking the dashboard off I’ve got a couple of bolts left in the radio console area, I tried to crank it up but I got nothing no clicks or whines.. I’m really confused and I’m hoping I didn’t put it in some sort of security lock up.
I’ll take any help I can get! Thanks everyone in advance!

Default 97Bonneville Dashboard Help

I’m taking the dashboard off of my Bonneville to get to the actuator because my front vents don’t blow cold air but everywhere else does. I’m almost half through the dash bolts at this point I’ve already gotten the gauges out and steering column lowered, I tried to start it up to move it forward under the shade tree and it won’t start no clicks or whines.. I’m super confused I’m not much of a mechanic I really don’t know what I’m doing this far in.
Anybody’* help is much appreciated!
thanks in advance!

I think if you raise the steering column back up, it will work again.

Yeah, sometimes it is a good idea to step back when something gets confusing.

I'm interested to see how this turns out!

Default UPDATE! 8:24am

Solved the starting issue, I had pulled a couple of fuses for the airbag (airbag system) & (airbag system-PASS KEY) I thought pass key meant the key used to turn off the airbag. I pulled them in case of accidentally setting off the airbags. I put the fuses in and BOOM fired right up! Now I have to figure out the other issue.. I seen the actuator move back and forth so it’* not broke, maybe a vacuum line

Default 2nd UPDATE..

I was unable to locate the vacuum line that runs through the firewall, I have my dashboard all put back together everything works gauges are good. I wish I knew what I was doing I have cold air but just at my feet and defrost, that should be fine with some windows cracked. I’m gonna have a mechanic friend take look at it and see if he can’t figure it out. Thanks for the help!
and I’ve posted accidentally elsewhere so I apologize for that and I’ll try to do better next time I need help, I am keeping this page in my favorite bookmarks!
see y’all later have awesome an day..

Try this first.
Try a system relearn.
For non vacuum operated systems (electronic) the module needs to learn the full open and full close positions of the doors.
AC reset
Turn the system on full cold Max AC.
Radio OFF.
Turn ignition OFF.
Pull the HVAC (AC) fuse from interior fuse box. Leave out for 1 minute and replace.
Turn key to run/on position....NOT start.
Do not touch any controls. You'll hear the doors (actuators) being opened and closed. The HVAC module is learning the full open and full close positions. Wait until the system is completely done with the learning process. Less than a minute.
Start and test the system.

BTW I have the factory info if you need it.
