Default Aztek odometer

Have a 2002 aztek odometer quit had cluster redone it works on bench but not in car wireing good to body computer and it also checks good tech is thinking speed sensor? can someone tell me if it is in trans on external.

everything goes to the pcm then there is a serial data wire that sends all info from the pcm to the instrument panel
