AC Not
2006 GTO
AC will not turn on. Had it diagnosed and at this point replaced the BCM, AC Control Module. They powered the ac control wiring by applying ground ac compressor did operate. Still will not turn on from ac switch inside the vehicle.
They are getting the following from the scanner
A/C Disengage 2,4,6,8 History - Stall prevention
A/C Disengage 1,3,5,7 History - RPM Unstable
Unfortunately, that'* all the information they can get. No where can they find what is causing those faults
Any information would be appreciated

What did they do to diagnose this?
Were any of these condemned directly? . . . or were they just throwing parts at it?
Tell us more about the car . . . like:
Is this can an automatic or manual?
How many miles on the car?
How many miles have you owned it?
Is the car modified from factory stock in any way? Parts, tune, etc.?
Has the car been wrecked?
How is the maintenance on the car?
How many miles on the spark plugs?
How many miles on the coils?
Does this happen in Drive or Park or both (automatic) or in gear or neutral or both (manual)?
Does the power steering have any struggles?
How many years old is the battery?
I've had two local repair shops working on the car. The first one said the BCM was bad, so I had it replaced problem not solved. The second shop troubleshooting the problem as per recommended steps in the manual.
Operation CHARM: Car repair manuals for everyone.
Home >> Pontiac >> 2006 >> GTO V8-6.0L VIN U >> Repair and Diagnosis >> Heating and Air Conditioning >> Testing and Inspection >> Symptom Related Diagnostic Procedures >> Diagnosis By Symptom - HVAC System - Manual >> Compressor Clutch Does Not Engage
The shop went thru all the steps recommended above to troubleshoot the issue.
From what I understand the have jumped pressure switches etc to eliminate the problem with no success.
I have attached pictures of the scanner. From what I understand the scanner is not telling them what is triggering the information on the scanner
I hope this helps
Thank you

Okay, remaining questions:
What did they do to diagnose this? Telling us that [they did this procedure] tells us very little. What was the result at each step?

I also believe the shop thinks one of these faults is preventing the compressor from turning on. They have been unable to find out from anyone what those failures mean and what triggers them.
Unfortunately I can't answer all your questions. I inherited this car due to my sons passing. I will do the best I can. The car is approximately 40 mins away to go and check on.
It was diagnosed using a from snap on. They did find the compressor was leaking when they charged the system. Compressor was replaced and recharged as per factory spec.
Manual trans
Approx 45000 miles
I believe its stock
No accident
my son did all maintenance
Plugs not sure
Coils probably original
Car sitting in shop key or engine running compressor will not engage from dash controlss
PS ok
New battery
I hope this helps

I believe the shop bypassed the pressure switch to eliminate the potential failure.
I also believe the shop thinks one of these faults is preventing the compressor from turning on. They have been unable to find out from anyone what those failures mean and what triggers them.

Those have nothing to do with your problem. They are a result of it having a problem it does not tell us what the problem is.
TAKE IT SOMEWHERE ELSE.
