Default '95 2.4 to '99 3.4 swap

Looking to do a V6 swap in a circle track car. 1995 Grand Am with a 2.4 DOHC boat anchor. From everything I have looked at it appears that a 3.4 will bolt to the existing tranny. I have looked and it a 3.4 from a 1999 should work. I say this because I have access to one with harness and pcm. Will a 1999 3.4 bolt up to the 4T60-E trans that is currently in it? It only runs in second gear so the difference in gearing from the 4T45-E is not an issue. Motor mounts are no issue as well as any accessories, only need alt and steering pump. Thoughts??? Have too much into the suspension to trash entire car, motor just has no low end, or high end for that matter.

If its gonna be a track car, why not a 3800 and a 4T60-E?
