Question 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix 3.8L

Good morning guys
I am looking for information on the fuel system. Specifically the wire color and voltages that I should be getting at the bulkhead connection in the trunk. I have had multiple issues recently with the fuel system, the car threw some codes related to the MAP sensor, the MAF sensor and the TPS and once I got that fixed the fuel pump took a nose dive. I have since put in 3 new fuel pumps the first two were Carter fuel pumps. The last one is a Delphi and it does work, I confirmed that it does push fuel through the line. the minute I plug the fuel tank harness in to the bulkhead connector I get nothing.

At first (because of availability) I back probed the bulkhead connection with a powerprobe III and I got what sounds like data being sent or recieved. I check the same wire again and there is 5 volts but its not consistant.

Any help is greatly appreciated
Justin

Be nice to know the codes. What is fuel pressure?
A wiring diagram would be helpful.

*P01006
and fuel pressure with direct voltage is close to 60 psi

Those are not codes for your (any) vehicle. What tool?
What do you mean by direct voltage for fuel pressure. Put a gauge on that thing.

I agree with carfixer007 ^^^^^^^

If I'm guessing right, you added an extra zero in the middle of those codes, so:

P01006 = P0106 = MAP sensor issue
P01008 = P0108 = MAP sensor issue
P03006 = P0306 = Misfire on cylinder 6

If I'm right about this, then these codes have nothing to do with a no fuel pump issue.

You are correct about the extra zeros. Code ref the misfire was a typo
I believe my TPS module has failed. Currently testing

By direct voltage I applied a ground and voltage to the fuel pump

That is fine to see if it runs but not a valid test for how much pressure it can produce.
These are easy to test. We need to verify the pressure.
