Default 2002 Bonneville SE P1374

I've been having a problem with my 02 Bonneville SE 3.8 for a few days now. I was driving down the road and it suddenly died. It would not start back up until I sat in a parking lot for a few minutes. This happened on the way home as well. I checked the diagnostic codes and it is indeed throwing a P1374 (3X ). My question is how likely is this to be the Crankshaft Position Sensor. And what would be any other likely culprits? Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

We use a scope to test the signals. Short of that, if you are going to shotgun parts at it, go ahead and throw a crank sensor on it. If it still fails the ICM would be next. If still having a problem the PCM or wiring. That is about everything.

What carfixer007 said ^^^^^^^ plus my two cents:

You haven't mentioned how many miles it has on the odometer, so: It'* a 2002, and if it averaged 10,000 miles per year all it'* life . . . which is below average . . . it would have 170,000 miles on it by now. I've seen many of these with bad crank sensors with less miles on them. Probably time for a new crank sensor either way.
