You shouldn't have any problems. Just remember to drain your coolant first. And make sure you keep the cam valley clean.

Well, long time no post.

I decided to just store the car for the winter and deal with the problem until Spring. Well its Spring and I went out and started buying the parts I needed. I ran across there being different thicknesses of the gasket rolls and wondered what thickness you guys would use? I don't want to pull everything off yet, because I am still able to move the car around the yard etc, to just see what was last used. I just want to have everything before i start. Also there were two types of LIM gaskets i could get, the metal ones, and rubberized ones, varying by 30 dollars. The rubber ones were more expensive. What ones would any of you recommend? The only other thing I am running into is finding someone who carries comp cam OE-R lifters.

Thanks.

You will want the aluminum gaskets. ZZ performance has lifters. Take a look there.

Well my uncle got around to uncovering the doom and doom it is. The lifters appeared fine and undamaged etc. Therefore he believes a valve is bent or was hit by a piston. Or possibly a spun crank barring, therefore this is the end of the car :(.

Off topic:

Is there any threads on here about Merlin'* 91 turbo build? Just curious

Sorry to hear about the engine.

Sorry, I don't recall seeing anything about it.

Pick up a good short block and you can rebuild it for around $500.
