Default Grand Am Monsoon Rear Speaker

hello, im trying to replace a 6x9 speaker in a 03 grand am with a factory monsoon speaker...im trying to get one out a junkyard but all the radio are already missing...is there any replacements from junkyard cars available...i heard aleros and 01-05 grand am will be my only options for replacements...

I pulled two alero speakers yesterday and its not a monsoon even though they have a 2ohm symbol printed on the bottom....any help or feedback is appreciated.

Your gonna have to stick with the monsoon speakers if you want the same sound. The rear speakers are amp'd, and have two separate plugs into each of them, so unless you bypass the stock amp, you will lose a lot of quality. I'm not sure what the alero speakers are like, or what other year grand am monsoon'* work. Hopefully someone else here knows. If not, there'* a lot of info on http://www.gaownersclub.com

I just ordered 2 monsoon speakers through www.gmpartscenter.net for my Sunfire. They sound really good. Cost me about $40 per speaker. They should be able to get you the OEM speakers that have the proper 2 ohm rating.
