Default 1991 Grand Am Electrical Issues

Okay, my Grand Am is finally running and driving well since I bought it at the beginning of the summer. I still need to work this problem out, though, and I don't know where to begin.

My gauges normally work just fine, but when I turn the headlights on, the gauges all go to zero as if the car'* off, and the dash lights don't turn on. Also, the turn signal lights will stay on steady sometimes, and shut off on their own. Sometimes it'* both, sometimes it'* one.

I have no idea how to resolve this issue, hopefully one of you can help me out, but it'* a little dangerous not knowing how fast I'm going or how much fuel I have or how hot the engine'* running whenever the headlights are on. Thanks for the help.

Check all connections at the battery for corrosion and tightness.
