Default 04 Grand Prix engine stalls at 3k rpm'*

I have an 04 Grand Prix The engine stalls at 3000 RPM'*. Speed does not seem to matter. Need help asap. Thanks

it is a 3.8l v6

Assuming this is the original fuel pump and filter. If you can, check fuel pressure at idle and at 3000RPM.

Not exactly sure what you mean by stalls at 3K......

Does the car bog down under heavy acceleration from a start, and doesn't go over 3K rpms?

the engine and power steering turn off at the 3,000 to 3,500 rpm range. There is no struggle and no jerking. Just shuts off.
I could be going 70 miles an hour or 30 but when I reach 3000 RPMs it shuts off
