Default 03 pontiac grand am crank, no start

My girlfriend blew a head gasket on her 3.4L Grand Am so I decided to fix it for her. I bought an upper end gasket set and replaced the cylinder head gasket, upper and lower intake gaskets, injector o rings. I removed the fuel rail from the lines and without realizing it i had lost the o ring for the fuel line to fuel rail. The car started and was spewing out fuel so i diaconnected the line from rail and installed a new o ring, now her car won't start. I have tried using starting fluid but still wont start, just cranks. I have spark and obviously fuel. I have yet to do a compression test. If anyone has other theories i'd really like to know.

three other things it must have to start,
compression-did you check the heads and deck surface for straitness and warping? did it overheat?
crank position sensor circuit-did it get disturbed or not reconnected? if you have a live data scanner check for cranking rpm
fuel pressure-has to have the right pressure to start not just have the presence of fuel

Either he still has a lot of fuel in the cylinders, or he might have botched a wire removing things.

Remove all the spark plugs, put the throttle all the way down to the floor(this is clear flood mode) and turn it over for about 5 seconds. Re-assemble everything and attempt to start it.

it did overheat and i checked the heads for warpage and they were straight. all the pushrods and rocker arms were put back in the right spot and torqued correctly. after everything was assembled the car started but i didnt let it run because it was spraying fuel from the main fuel line because of a missing o-ring. I checked the plugs and they were saturated so im running rich. i honestly think i have a broken or disconnected wire. im gonna inspect the main harness tonight after work to see if i broke something reinstalling the upper intake after replacing the fuel rail o-ring.

If you sprayed directly into the TB with Either, then its apparent you have an ignition issue somewhere. Re-check all wiring around the engine.

Is it possible the O ring you are missing is in the fuel rail?

Thanks for all your help Mike! Sorry it'* been a while since I checked this. I re-routed all the spark plug wires and the car started right up and ran like a dream. The information I got on the firing order was backwards. I had a feeling it was something simple. Thanks again for al your help!
